  1. Well, because I'm half-editor, all writer, I'd love to see podcasts on the "joys" of editing, or the author/editor relationship, or tips from editors for beginning writers . . . etc. :D Sounds so FUN, guys.

  3. Ranee ~ okay, the "joys" of editing - that'll be a blast! and the editor/author relationship - another great topic! tips from editors for beginning writers :) Looks like you've given us three awesome topics! After we get the first two months together of topics/authors/editors etc., we will post the schedule for our podcast ... it's going to be GREAT!!

  4. Perhaps how your characters are conceived, how you research for a book, where the concept of a book idea or specific scenario comes from. Your life experiences that played into your writing. Just my thoughts!

  5. Love those ideas Lynda! Betsy and I discussed how we want to keep our audience "engaged" in our discussions and how we know that part of that is keeping our podcasts short 15-20 minutes ... we'll decide which length and keep it consistent at that length. That way our listeners know just how much time they have to "invest" out of their busy days to listen to us. Ideally, we'll record a podcast weekly. I love your ideas and each one could easily fill a 15 minute spot.
    1. How characters are conceived (Betsy's super great at that!)
    2. How to do research for a book (Very interesting topic! I have lots of techniques that I use!)
    3. Where book ideas/scenarios come from
    4. How life experiences play into our writings (another favorite of mine! See http://theresatalks.blogspot.com to read why I actually write about angels!)
    Thanks Lynda! ~Theresa

  6. Theresa is the master of research. I do it *gruuuummmmbbbbllleeee* because I have to. But I'd rather just write the story.

  9. Yes, give all the information you can. I've never been part of a podcast before. I don't know how it works, but want to know. I'll announce it at our chapter meeting.
